Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 8, 2026

GodotLearning is operated by Mete Yengil. This page explains what data the site uses, what stays on your device, how advertising cookies work here, and how to contact us.

Short version

We do not run user accounts, payments, or a private app database. We do use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site usage, localStorage to keep your theme and learning progress on your device, Netlify forms when you voluntarily submit a newsletter email, contact message, or tutorial suggestion, and Google AdSense to show advertising that keeps the tutorials free. Advertising cookies are described below, together with how to opt out of personalized ads.

Who operates this website?

GodotLearning is an independent website by Mete Yengil. For privacy questions, data questions, or general website contact, email contact@framedarc.com.

Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate website usage, such as which pages are visited and which guides are useful. This helps us improve the tutorials and tools. We do not use this for user accounts, ads, or selling personal information. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles data.

Local browser storage

GodotLearning uses localStorage so the site can remember your learning state on your own device:

  • Theme preference, such as light or dark mode
  • Completed guides and lightweight progress state
  • Newsletter submitted state, so the form does not keep showing after signup
  • Code sandbox or practice state where the tool supports local saving

This localStorage data stays in your browser unless a specific form submission says otherwise. You can clear it through your browser settings.

Forms and email submissions

If you submit the newsletter form, we receive the email address you provide. If you submit a tutorial suggestion or the contact form, we receive the text and any name or email you choose to include. These submissions are handled through Netlify forms and are only used for the purpose shown near the form, such as replying to you or fixing a guide.

Do not submit private project secrets, API keys, client information, or anything sensitive through these forms.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

GodotLearning is free to read and is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or to other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Where the law requires it, including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, Google's consent message is shown before personalized advertising is used, and you can change that choice later. Ad content is chosen by the advertising network and is not an endorsement by Mete Yengil. Google marks its ads with the AdChoices icon, and ads are placed around the content, never inside code samples or tutorial steps.

Cookies

Google Analytics may set cookies for usage analytics. Google AdSense and its advertising partners may set cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, to measure ad performance, limit how often you see an ad, and, where you have not opted out, show ads related to your interests. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the tutorials keep working without them. We do not run our own tracking pixels or retargeting campaigns.

Third-party services

  • Google Analytics 4 for aggregate website usage analytics
  • Google AdSense for advertising, including advertising cookies described above
  • Google Fonts for web font delivery
