Terms of Use
Last updated: September 8, 2026
These terms cover your use of godotlearning.com, a free educational website operated by Mete Yengil. By using the site you agree to them. They are written to be readable; if anything is unclear, ask us.
Short version
- The tutorials are free to read. No account, subscription, or payment is required.
- Code samples may be used in your own projects, commercial or not, without attribution.
- Articles, guide text, images, and the site design are copyrighted and may not be republished wholesale.
- Everything is provided as-is for learning; test it in your own project before shipping.
- The site is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense.
1. Using the site
You may browse, read, bookmark, and share links to any page. You may not use automated tools to overload the site, attempt to bypass the hosting provider's protections, or interfere with advertising, analytics, or forms. Reasonable crawling for search engines and AI assistants is allowed and is described in our robots.txt.
2. Code samples and recipes
GDScript, C#, shader, and configuration snippets shown in tutorials, recipes, labs, the cheat sheet, and downloadable files are yours to copy, modify, and ship in your own games and tools, including commercial ones. Attribution is appreciated but not required. The snippets are educational examples: they are not a supported library, and we make no promise that they fit every project or engine version.
3. Articles, text, and images
The written guides, blog articles, comparisons, page layouts, illustrations, cover images, and the Godot Learning name and mascot are owned by Mete Yengil unless stated otherwise. You may quote short excerpts with a link back to the source page. Republishing full articles, translating them, or using them to build a competing course or dataset for sale requires written permission from contact@framedarc.com.
4. Third-party names and links
Godot is a trademark of the Godot Foundation. Unity and Unreal Engine are trademarks of Unity Technologies and Epic Games respectively. They are used only to describe how concepts translate between engines; this site is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them. Links to external documentation, community spaces, stores, and tools are provided for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or policies.
5. Reader submissions
When you send us a game you built, a tutorial suggestion, a correction, or a contact message, you confirm you have the right to share it and you allow us to show the submitted game name, credit, link, and cover image on the site. We may edit submissions for length or clarity and may decline any submission. Ask at any time to have a submission removed.
6. Advertising
The site is funded by advertising served through Google AdSense. Google marks its ads with the AdChoices icon and places them around the content, never inside code samples or tutorial steps. Advertisers do not influence what we publish, and an ad on a page is not a recommendation by Mete Yengil. Cookies used for advertising, and how to opt out of personalized ads, are described in the privacy policy.
7. No warranty and limitation of liability
The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. Game engines change, and advice that is correct for Godot 4.7 may not apply to another version. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mete Yengil is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or its code samples, including lost data, lost revenue, or project delays. Always keep backups and use version control.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site evolves. The date at the top shows the latest version, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
